Last Minute Las Vegas Deals
Jul 6th, 2009 by dealadvisor

If you are traveling to Las Vegas within the next 3 weeks, you can often find an amazing discount by purchasing a Last Minute Package on VegasDealAdvisor.com . These discounts are provided to us by partner airlines to help move their otherwise unfilled seats instead of sharply reducing their published air price. You can find similar great deals on sites like hotwire and priceline. However, there are a couple clear advantages of booking your last minute package to Las Vegas with Vegas Deal Advisor:
#1 You will always know the exact flights and hotel before you make your purchase and you can cross check the Las Vegas hotel on Yelp or TripAdvisor to confirm what other travellers are saying about the hotel before you book it. There is no mystery flight with strange connections to worry about.
#2 You will earn frequent flyer points on your flights! Other sites offering lastminute specials often do not allow you to earn those points.
#3 VegasDealAdvisor has terrific last minute rates for Flight plus Car so even if you don’t need a hotel we can often get you there with a vehicle to drive around for less than the cost of an expensive last minute flight alone would be.

Pick your Departure city below and have a quick search to find our Last Minute Vegas deals!

Last Minute Vegas Deals
Jun 15th, 2009 by dealadvisor

In our last post, we discussed a bit about package pricing and showed you some of the top tripadvisor consumer rated hotels that offer a significant discount when you buy your flight and hotel together for your trip to Las Vegas. We also mentioned that the air portion is usually not discounted too much for packages to Las Vegas because the published stand alone air fares are already quite low. However, there is one exception to this where you can find a terrific deal. If you are traveling to Las Vegas within the next 3 weeks, you can sometimes find an amazing discount by purchasing a Last Minute Package. These discounts are provided to us by airlines to help move their otherwise unused seats in cases where they do not want to discount the basic stand alone air price. The discount for these last minute packages to las vegas can be so significant that the cost of your Flight and Hotel to Las Vegas could be less than the price of buying the airline ticket alone. This will give you a essentially a free hotel stay plus some extra money in your pocket!

Here’s one example. If you were in Chicago and wanted a lastminute getaway with non-stop flights for 2 nights to Vegas. It would cost you $495 per person  for the flights alone. However, with a last minute deal on vegasdealadvisor, you could fly non-stop and stay at the 5 star venetian for 2 nights for only $519 per person!

Even more remarkable, our last minute packages to Las Vegas do not require a hotel. You can get one of these great package rates by just booking your flight with a rental car which always comes in handy in Vegas.

Best Package Deals to Las Vegas
Jun 10th, 2009 by dealadvisor

Online travel agents like Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity claim that you can save hundreds of dollars by buying a flight and hotel together and have been talking loudly about this for some time.  The truth is you really can sometimes get a better deal when you buy flight and hotel together but certainly not all the time.  This post will explain to you how those Hotel + Flight deals really work and give you some advice on which Las Vegas hotels offer the best flight plus hotel deals in Las Vegas.

Airlines and hotels often have extra capacity that they would like to fill but to do not want to dilute their revenue by reducing their prices across the board. One key tool for selling this capacity is offering “package only rates” which are given to specific agents and only allowed when the flight or hotel is used as part of a package.  When you see a really good flight + hotel package rate, it could be because either the hotel, the airline or BOTH have offered the agent a special package rate   For Las Vegas,  public air fares tend to be very competitive so there are not that many package disocunted air fares in the market. However, there are several hotels who do offer big discounts with a package which are provided to us at VegasDealAdvisor .

Based on a recent survey of rates in the market, here are the top consumer rated hotels in Las Vegas where you can expect to find a big savings when you book your flight and hotel together.

Property Star Rating TripAdvisor Rank Yelp Rank
Bellagio Five Star #11 #5
Wynn Five Star #13 #2
Encore at Wynn Las Vegas Five Star #14 #6
JW Marriot Las Vegas Resort and Spa Five Star #7 #12
TheHotel at Mandalay Bay Four Star #30 #4
Desert Rose Resort Three Star #5 #50

You can search for a flight + hotel deal on Vegas Deal Advisor by following this link . After executing your search, look for one of these top rated properties and you will likely see a great discount for booking your flight and hotel together to Las Vegas.

This Youtube video of the Donny & Marie Show should prime your memory for the type of entertainment you will enjoy. I am really excited today to announce the arrival of dynamic deal rating calculations on Vegas Deal Advisor.  Now, you can put in your specific travel dates and see which of the top-rated hotels have the highest deal value ratings for your specific dates of travel. The rating process considers the overall rating of the hotel and then examines the specific rates available for of each top rated hotel on the dates you want to travel and compares them to historical pricing and the prices of the peer hotels. The result is a true picture of the top consumer rated hotels offering you the best value for your dollar in Las Vegas on your specific dates. Please be patient when you use this new feature since it does need to do a few calculations and may take few seconds to generate your results.   We do not yet have a timer or progress bar but will implement that soon.

As I said, the team is super excited about bringing you this functionality. Please try it out, book a hotel in Vegas and let us know what you think!

Vegas Deal Advisor Launch
Feb 27th, 2009 by dealadvisor

Welcome to our Blog!

I started Vegas Deal Advisor to create a  place where travelers could have an unbiased resource to find the best quality accommodations at the best possible price.  There is a lot of marketing dollars spent promoting deals on the web which primarily focus on a low price points in the market which are often not available or even desirable.  Savvy travelers know that the “best deal” is not usually the lowest price. For example, most people would agree that an $89 rate at a 5 Star hotel rated in the top 10 by consumers is a much better deal than a $69 a night 3 star hotel which has mediocre consumer reviews.  First and foremost, people want to stay at great place where they will have a great or at least very comfortable experience.  This is why savvy travelers have learned to search on sites like TripAdvisor first to find the top quality hotels and then to search for the best prices on these top hotels before making a decision.

With  Vegas Deal Advisor, our aim is to simplify and improve that whole process to pre-filter for you the best quality hotels offering the best relative prices for your exact trip dates.  Please visit our site, read the FAQs (if you have time), and provide any comments on how we should simplify, improve or enhance it.

We have several enhancements planned over the coming months and appreciate any and all feedback to help us make the best improvements to better serve you.
